Prayer of Salvation

To Become Born Again

Did you know that Jesus Christ died to give you eternal life with God, our Father?

Every person must be born again to know God and have everlasting life.  John 3:3 says: "Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

The reason why we must be born again is found in Romans 3:23.  "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23 says you can not earn salvation.  Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

Being saved or born again is receiving Jesus as your Lord (Master) and committing yourself to follow His Word to be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.  Romans 10:9-10 says "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart one believed unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Are you ready to make this eternal, life changing commitment to change from your way to accept Jesus' way?   Ask Jesus to be your Saviour.  Say this prayer which is a confession of your faith.

God, I come to you in the name of Jesus and I ask you to come into my life.  I confess that Jesus is my Lord, and I believe in my heart that You have raised Him from the dead.  I turn my back on sin, renounce all other religions and commit to follow You for the rest of my life.  I am now a child of God. Thank you, Father, for saving me!   Amen.

You are now born again, your every sin has been forgiven and you are on your way to heaven.  Yet, you need to renew your mind to live the victorious life God has provided for you.

Romans 12:2 says "I beseech you therefore, brethen, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."  You must grow and understand and learn God's Word by reading your Holy Bible daily as often as possible.

If doubts or fears come to mind about your salvation reject them and realise that the Bible is what your new birth is based on, and not what you think or feel.
