God's Promises
Prayer Affirmation for the Family
Heavenly Father,
​
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the precious gift of family. I affirm today that Your love and grace surround each member of my family. I declare that we are rooted and established in Your love, as it is written:
"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." (Ephesians 3:17-18, NIV)
Lord, I speak Your protection over my family, knowing that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust:
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1-2, NIV)
I affirm that peace reigns in our hearts and our home, for You have given us a spirit not of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind:
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV)
Father, I declare that each member of my family walks in Your wisdom, as Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path:
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." (Psalm 119:105, NIV)
I affirm that our family is bound together by love, unity, and forgiveness, reflecting Your heart towards us:
"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." (Colossians 3:13-14, NIV)
Finally, Lord, I declare that my family will serve You with all our hearts, seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness, and trusting that all our needs will be provided:
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, NIV)
In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.
